Mr. Alberts joined Jetscape in March 2008 and is responsible for the development and implementation of strategies focused on the company’s aircraft leasing operations and seeking out other business opportunities.From 1997 to 2008, Mr. Alberts was Vice President of Sales in North America and the Caribbean for Embraer Aircraft Corp. During his assignment, he successfully oversaw the marketing and sale of Embraer E-Jets to various customers including JetBlue Airways which became the launch customer for the E190 with an order for 100 firm aircraft and 100 options worth over $6 billion. Prior to 1997, Mr. Alberts was employed in progressively challenging management positions by various airlines including Atlantic Coast Airlines where he was instrumental for all aspects of the selection and introduction of the regional jet program. From 1992 to 1996, Mr. Alberts served in various management capacities at United Airlines, USAir and Dornier North America. Prior to his aviation career, Mr. Alberts served in the US Navy, achieving the rank of Commander. Operational assignments included Military Sealift Command Europe during the Gulf War, USS Orion, USS Sampson, and USS Bigelow where he served as Operations Department Head, Navigator, Intelligence Officer and Anti-Submarine Officer. His tours of duty covered various operations in the Middle East, Indian Ocean, Mediterranean and the North Atlantic.
