Mark S. Maymar is Executive Vice President and a founder of Compass Capital Corporation.  Founded in 1991, Compass is an international asset finance and management company headquartered in San Francisco, with satellite offices in Chicago, Fairfield, Connecticut, Ft. Lauderdale, and Singapore.  The company's primary focus is acquisition and management of major capital assets under lease, with a particular expertise in the finance and leasing of commercial aircraft. The company has purchased, managed, or remarketed over 150  commercial aircraft and  40 engines since its inception.  Compass currently owns or manages over 35 commercial aircraft.   Recently, Compass has been an active investor in commercial aircraft subject to impairments, provided capital to the airframe and engine disassembly business, helped transition aircraft fleets in anticipation of new manufacturer deliveries, and purchased a number of aircraft portfolios including, most recently, the remainder of the Finova portfolio.  

Prior to establishing Compass, Mr. Maymar was Executive Vice President and a founder of Pegasus Capital Corporation.  Mr. Maymar received an A.B. from Stanford University and an M.B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.
