Robert Agnew, President & CEO of mba, has over 30 years of extensive and diverse background in aviation and business consulting. Mr. Agnew has been pivotal in the significant growth of mba, a leading provider of aircraft valuations and analysis for both tangible and intangible airline assets to banks, airlines, and other institutions worldwide. He has led mba in becoming a significant provider of technical due diligence for investors of airlines and aircraft. In addition, he piloted the accreditation of the firm as one of only eight firms in the world capable of performing international operational and safety audits for airlines as certified by the International Air Transport Association (IATA). 

Prior to founding mba, Mr. Agnew was Senior Vice President of Marketing & Sales for World Airways where he led all facets of aircraft leasing and charter service, and also designed and implemented the airline’s entry into the international scheduled service market. He began his commercial aviation career at Northwest Airlines where he concentrated on contract and charter sales, schedule planning, and corporate operations research. Mr. Agnew served in the United States Air Force as a Rated Officer with the Strategic Air Command.

 Mr. Agnew is a member of the board of directors and chairs the audit committee of the publicly traded Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings (AAWW), the holding company for two worldwide airlines operating more than thirty 747-freighter aircraft. He sits on the board of directors of the National Defense Transportation Association (NDTA), and chairs it’s Military Airlift Committee, which advises the Commander of the USAF’s Air Mobility Command on military-civil aviation matters. He also serves on the board of directors of TechPubs, a privately held software firm specializing in aviation IT solutions. Further, he is a former board member of SatoTravel and the Airline Reporting Corporation.
 
 Mr. Agnew holds a Masters of Business Administration from University of North Dakota and is a recognized Certified Senior Appraiser and member of the International Society of Transport Aircraft Traders (ISTAT) and sits on the International Board of Governors for ISTAT appraisers. He is an advisor to numerous hedge funds, insurance companies and investment banks on industry related topics and is a frequent speaker and writer regarding airline and aircraft issues. As an industry authority, he has also provided expert opinions and testimony covering issues of breach of contract, traffic forecasts, and asset valuations in litigation procedures. He has been active in advising trustees and investors in bankruptcies such as Northwest Airlines, US Airways, Delta Air Lines, and Atlas Air.
